Body Ready Method®
Prepare your body for birth with intentional movement, balance, and body awareness.
Body Ready Method® (BRM) is a movement and body-balancing approach designed to help prepare the pregnant body for the physical demands of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum recovery. Rather than focusing on a single “ideal” position or outcome, BRM looks at the body as a whole and uses purposeful movement and hands-on techniques to encourage mobility, balance, strength, and comfort as your body changes throughout pregnancy.
Pregnancy naturally brings changes to your posture, alignment, mobility, muscles, joints, and soft tissues. As your baby grows, you may notice areas of tension, discomfort, stiffness, or restriction that affect how you move and feel. BRM provides practical tools to help you work with those changes while developing a greater awareness of your own body.
Birth asks your body to move, adapt, and respond in ways that are unique to you. Body Ready Method® gives you practical tools to explore movement, mobility, positioning, and body awareness throughout pregnancy so you can feel more familiar and connected to your body as you approach birth.
Sessions may include movements and positions that encourage pelvic mobility and help you become comfortable moving your body in different ways. You’ll also learn techniques that you can practice at home and incorporate into your own prenatal routine, giving you a collection of tools you can draw from throughout pregnancy and, when appropriate, during labor.
BRM is not a guarantee of a particular birth outcome, and no method can predict or control how labor and birth will unfold. Every body, pregnancy, and birth is different. Instead, BRM is one more tool you can add to your prenatal toolbox—alongside childbirth education, appropriate movement and exercise, nutrition, rest, and the guidance of your birth-care provider.
The goal isn't to make your body do something specific or to promise a certain kind of birth. It’s about helping you understand your body, move with greater awareness and confidence, and feel more physically prepared for the experience of birth.
Whether you're looking for ways to move more comfortably during pregnancy, want to develop greater awareness of your body, or simply want additional preparation for the physical experience of labor and birth, BRM can be a valuable part of your prenatal journey.
Building Confidence for Birth
Personalized Support for Your Changing Body
As a certified Body Ready Method® Pro, I tailor each session to your individual needs, comfort level, and stage of pregnancy. No two pregnancies—or two bodies—are exactly alike, so sessions are individualized rather than following a one-size-fits-all routine.
Depending on what your body needs, we may work with the pelvis, hips, core, glutes, legs, spine, and surrounding soft tissues, incorporating gentle movements, positioning, stretches, and hands-on techniques. The goal is to support functional movement and help you feel more comfortable, capable, and connected to your body as you prepare for birth.
You’ll also learn movements and body-awareness techniques that you can incorporate into your own prenatal routine. These tools can help you become more familiar with different positions and ways of moving, giving you practical options to draw from throughout pregnancy and during labor.
