Birth Doula

Hello! I am Clara, a birth doula, devoted reader, and -most importantly- a follower of Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of North Carolina where my ancestors have lived since 1763! I love to have deep conversations, spend the afternoon curled up with a book, bake with my sisters, and serve at my local church.

I had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and accepting Christ at a very young age. My faith is what grounds me and brings me hope. It gives me a delight for life, an eternal purpose, and influences every decision I make. Jesus has redeemed my life from the pit and called me as His own! Something that makes me feel incredibly loved is when people sit with me as I go through a season of hardship. To walk in fellowship with believers and bear one another's burdens gives me strength and peace that previously seemed impossible to gather. That is one of the main reasons why I love being a doula! To sit, walk, and breathe with mamas as they create life and bring a baby into this world is a huge honor!

The Lord placed a love on my heart for children from the moment I could hold a baby doll. From my younger years of siblings and babysitting, to later years of being a preschool teacher and birth doula, children have been a passion through it all. Supporting families as they welcome new members is a ministry I absolutely adore! I am proud to be a part of a Christian doula company that recognizes God as Creator. New life is one of the greatest blessings God gives us on this earth; what a joy it is to witness it!

My desire is to care for you with prayer, comfort, wisdom, and peace. I will be an advocate for the birth you desire and a constant presence of encouragement. It is so amazing that God created our bodies to give birth and it would be an incredible honor and joy for me to support you during yours!
